POVERTY BAY ASSOCIATION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Gisborne, January 18. At a meeting of the Poverty Bay Cricket Association, a telegram was received from the YVairarapa Executive stating that it would be unable to get a team to visit Gisborne this week, as arranged, to play the Hawke Cup fixture, and asking for a postponement till tho same days next week. It was resolved to telegraph, the Wairarapa Association that if the original dates were not adhered to Yfanawatu would haxe first claim. The association expressed dissatisfaction that the New Zeakuld Council bad failed to include Poverty Bay in the tour of the AustraUan team. It was decided to write to the council to that effect, and ask that an endeavour be made to arrange a match before the Australian tour concluded.
