« FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present Indication! are for strong weetorly to southerly winds northwards of Now Plymouth and Napier, and south,easterlies elsewhere. Unsettled, cloudy, and misty conditions and further general rain eipected, heavy rain in many parts, with rivers rising nnd snow in somo of the high country In the South Island. Barometer falling, but rise soon. The centre of a disturbance,has moved up the western coast since Monday night, and has been located to-day oiF Cape Kgmont. Strong northerly winds have given placc to aoutherlics and easterlies in an'd southward of Cook Strait. Unsettled, cloudy, and misty weather has prevailed, and rain has fallen generally. It. V.
