A'- Wright (Wellington Suburbs) asked in the House of Representatives if the Minister of Public Works would placo a sum of money on the Supplementary Estimates for the erection of a post-office at Karori? The PostmasterGeneral replied that the sum of had appeared on tho Public Works estimates for this work for several years, and it was proposed to -renew tho vote this session. Mr. Wright said that Mr. Coatcs had given a reply liko that of an old-politi-cian. It was true, as tho Minister said, that £250 had been placed on the estimates for several years, But the rota never grew any larger, and he thought that the Minister ought at least to add the interest year by year, 60 that in the course of a hundred years or so there might be a. sum really adequate to build a'post office.
