CALLOUS MOTORISTS
PROTEST BY HOSPITAL. SUPERINTENDENT.
By Tolccrarh—Press Association. Christchurch, August 4. An indignant protest against the behaviour of some motorists was made by Dr. Pox. medical superintendent of tlio Christchurch Hospital, to-day. "There havo been severnt dastardly acts committed by motorists lately," he said. I understand that there are two patients in tlio hospital accident ward who wero run down by motor-cars which went on without giving assistance, and now it 13 stated that a similar thing occurrcd at Halswell last night, although we cannot be sure about that. Such action ia practically murderous, roughly speak(X!. If it were not for motor accidents our accident ward could be closed down at times. There is very wide scopc for action by the police and Press m regard to this matter."
