Tho Australian Government was banishing industrial Germans, after careful inquiry. Jerger had appealed to tho highest Courts in the Commonwealth, and all had decided in the same way, that lie must go. -■ Senator Gardiner raised the question of tho deportation during a debate in the Senate. Senator Fearce, in reply, said that Jerger's disloyal acta were notified to the Department by devout Catholics, excepting in one. instance. The public demand for a trial was a. move to ascertain the names of -the informants. Another priest who gave information to the Government had already been deported, but not by the Goveminent. During discussion on the Jerger case, a largo crowd gathered outside Parliament House and demonstrated against Jerger's deportation.—Press Assn. . SATISFACTION FELT IN ADELAIDE. (Dec.
