EVENTS GOING AGAINST THAN-CHI-JIU. Tientsin, July 20. Seventeen trainloads of Changtsolin'9 Mukden troops passed through Tientsin, for Peking. In spite of his success at Yangtsun, events are going against Tuan-ohi-jiu •on all fronts, and his forces aro retiring on the capital. End generalship caused severe reverses to his forces along the Peking-Hankow railway.
Owing to the interruption of tho railway, reinforcements for the Japanese Legation in Peking are unable to pro-ceed.-Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
