INFECTIOUS DIBBASES
During tho week ended noon yesterday, 54 cases of infectious diseases were reported in the Wellington public health district, compared with 50 for tho previous week. Hospital districts from which tho cases were reported were—Waipawa: Diphtheria, i; tuberculosis, 1; pneumonia, 1. Palmerston North: Scarlet fever, 2; diphtheria, 3; influenza, 1; pneumonia, 2; measles, 1; chickenpox, 1. Wellington: Scarlet fover, 3; diphtheria, 6; tuberculosis, 1; puerperal septicaemia, 1; Influenza, 2; pneumonia, ,12; measles, 2. Wairnrapa: Diphtheria. 2; ophthalmia, 1. Wairau: Diphtheria, 1.
