■ Mr. Harold Bowden, representative for J. and X. Tait, has been advised by letter that M. Benuo Moisewitsch, hailed by some English, and American critic 3 to be the greatest pianist of the day, has cancelled his arrangements to visit Xew Zealand. This news will bo received with great regret by <i large number of keen music-lovers, including many ex-soldiers, who were privileged to hear the Russian in London. The reason for New Zealand being cu,t out was the enforced extension of the season in Sydney and Melbourne, and the fact that ttio pianist lias to return to America to fill engagements commencing early in Octoher. It is hoped that. Moisewitsch may return to Australia and Xew Zealand early next year.
