W.N.R. Residential Nursery, Mrs! Bradney Williams, assisted by the Misses Perry; gave an afternoon tea it her home in' Seatoun on Wednesday, the object being to discuss the work;'of the Women's National Reserve. Mrs. J. C. Andersen and Mrs. Hardcadle, of ■\he Karori Road brniicli, were present, aud gave much interesting information as to the work. It was decided to form a W.N.R. group in Seatoun, and concentrate upon the work of the W.N.R. .Residential Nursery. Mrs. Porter gave an outline of the scheme, and great interest was evinced. Those present decided to hold another meeting shortly, and elect officers. Mrs. F. Bluek is actively organising the work.

Levin Memorial Home. The monthly committee meeting of the Levin Memorial Home was held at the home. Miss Archibald presided. The matron reported tho children were all well. During tho month two new children were admitted. The treasurer reported receiving .£250, a legacy to tho home, under the will of the late John Duncan, also a grant of XB3 Cs. Bd. from the Maeaiihy trustees. The committeo is very, grateful to receive these donations to carry on the work, for the upkeep of the'home is so much more now than in former years owing to the increased-.cost of living.
