The leader of the Opposition and bis supporters advised the Government to produce the proposed amendments before the second reading" debate, but this Mr. Massey would not do, saying that there would be ample, opportunities for the discussion of them later. With the Counties Bill out of the way, there was no business of importance left. Tho ~ Massenrs Registration Bill was debated for a little time,' a number of members being anxious that the interests of persons practising massage should not bo left •. quite unprotected.
