Wellington" College Board of Governors, over which Mr. W. l'\ Ward presided; The statement of finances discloieu payments, in. respect: of the Boys' College,of .£llß4. 'ss. 2d.,' and the Girls' College .£1372 10s. ld.-a.total 15s. 3d.: It was reported that-.the applications for the position of headmaster of .the Boyd College, rendered vacant by t,ie retirement of Mr. J. P. 'firth, might be : expected to'| be in at the end of the month. Referring to previous correspondence, Education ■. Department notified that there was no provision for the payment of a cost-of-living bonus.to teachers retained by the lower department of the college. 'The teachers in Question num-: ber about five, and; they, are on a- different footing: to teachers in the. other departments. ' On the. motion of Mr. J. P. Luke, M.P.; the chairman was asked to look into 'the matter and report.
