WELLINGTON RUGBY UNION
The Management Committee of the Wellinßton Bugby Union met last, evening. Mr. W. P. nornis presided, and others present were: Messrs. A. J. Griffiths, H. Buck, J. Prendeville, J. T. Piki, W. "Donovan, G. Jackson, E. H. Ward, E, Pefry and N. Millard. The New Zealand Eucby Union advised the committee that the *charee' for admission to the North v. South match on Saturday next would bp Is. 6d. ~ -Mr. : Prendeville considered • that the. charge was too hich by 'sixpence. .He thought: that further representations should be mado in the hope of obtaining a reduction. The chairman and several other members ofthe' committee thought otherwise. The N.Z.R.F.IT., they pointed out,.-, must make the match pay in order'to finance the trip, to ,Australia. Tho following motion, proposed by Mr. Hornig, was eventually carried: "That although' the Wellington Union would rather See Is. charged for the ground, they' are quite prepared to give, the f 'New Zealand Union all the assistance in their power to run thla match and to make it a lucccss." v • Players who, for-one offence or auother, had been "ordered ofl" hv had. their cases investigated "in camera."
