FRACAS IN THEATRE
Tn the Magistrate's Court yesterday William Lawrence Fraser was charged with assaulting Walter Georgo MMahon, ulao with disturbing tho audience at His Majesty's Theato on Saturday night. Mr. A.8.. Tho defence waa that Fraßcr called out applauding the turn, and when told by tho attendant ll'Mahon to go out, ho did so On going down tho stairs he trtpnocl and fell on M'Mahon, who was in front of him. The latter grabbed the defendant, and they rolled down tho stairs togother. M'Mahon struck him. and th« defendant retaliated. Tho Magistrate recordod a. conviction on both charge". For assaulting M Malum defendant was (lncd £4, and ordered to pay costs and on tho other charge he was fined £1.
