M'Adoo lias announced his irrevocable decision not to offer himself for nomination for the Presidency at tho Democratic Convention. He declares that the Democratic Party must stand squarely for ratification of tho Peace Treaty and the League of Nations without'deliberating on reservations. Senator Harding, when questioned concerning President Wilson's comments in. a recent interview on his candidature, said: "I am sure the Republican Party would gladly welcome a referendum on the question of the United States' foreign relations and that the Republican attitude in preserving our nationality will be overwhelmingly endorsed."

Mr. H. Hoover made a statement endorsing Senator Harding's candidature for the Presidency.-tAus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
