Competition was dull, and wo were unable to reach vendors' reserves, and In most cases they were passed in. We quote:—Twotooth ewe?, off turnips, 32b. 6d.; old ewes, 6s. Messrs. Wright, Stephenson, ■ and Co., Ltd., report having hold a luccoßsful clearing sale on account of Messrs. Tyer Bros, at Moroa, near Greytown. on Tuesday last. Tho flock consi'tcd of well-bred Romney sheop, and the 2000 sheep yarded were according to tho auctioneers, probably nmongßt the bcßt ever offered at auction in tho Wairaraiia, tho quality und condition being tho Bubject of ireneral commont. All tho oheep were sold under the hammer, tho prices realised being aa under:—Four and six-tooth ewes,' 36b. 6d.; two-tooth eweß, 34b; 9d. to 35b. 4d.; fouryear ewes. 335. 6d.; (Ive-year ojves, 31b. to 33b. : cull ewes, 25b.-to 275. 6d.
