The American Federation of Labour Convention at Montreal adopted a resolution demanding that the United States Congress cancel the "gentleman's agreement" with Japan < and to 6xi)ltide i all Orientals, specifically picture brides. The convention rejected a permanent voluntary arbitration board, and condemned the Ainerioan Court of Industrial Relations and all forms of i compulsory arbitration.
