CASUS TO BE INQUIRED INTO BY ROYAL COMMISSIONER. ■

Arrangements have been made for Mr. Justico Ewing, of Tasmania, to act as a Royal Commissioner to inquire into tho cases of the dozen impri»ned i Industrial Workers of the World, with wido powers, to review,a'.d and new evidence, and decide whether the convictions are to be sustained or whether tho sentences aro excessive.—Press Assn. [After a trial which lasted ten days, twelve membors of tho 1.W.W., in December, 1!)17, were sentonced to terms of imprisonment ranging from Svo to_ fifteen years 011 charges of conspiracy in connection with a number of fires vbiclr occurred in Sydney. The fires and subsequent proceedings caused a sensation in Sydney. The names of tho prisoners are: Charles Reeve (30), native of England; Thomas Glynn (35), Ireland; Peter Larkin (45), Ireland; John Hamilton (42), Victoria; Bernard Bc?ant (25), England; Donald M'Pherson (29), Scottaud; William Teen (30), Tasmania; William Beatty (30), England; Morris Joseph Fngin (40), Russia; Donald Grant (27), Scotland; Thomas Moore (31), New Zealand; John Benjamin King (46), Canada.]
