Dublin, April'2B. "Freeman's Journal" reports a remarkable sequel to the Millstreet raid on April 26. A large portion of the money will now bo returned to the banks from which it Ws stolen, i The captors have also offered* to hand over the thieves, but the banks have replied, that they aro only nblo to deal with the Crown in such an affair.-"The^'Times." . The Sinn Feiners-hiive offered to hand over the bank thieves, whom they arrested in connection with the robbery at Millstreet a few days.'ago. ; lliey have al-o promised to furnish evidence. -Aus.-N.Z. (Two:hundred raiders, described as Sinn Fein Guardsmen, invaded Millstreet (County Cork) and carried oft six men suspected of .being implicated in a recent bank liold-uV when #18,000 was stolen. It was stated that the captors intended to hold tho prisoners until they disclosed the hiding place of the money. |
