FROZEN MEAT TRADE
THE PATAGONIA PURCHASE. London, February 14. The "Globe" says that traders believe the Government's fresh purchase is intended to yield a profit sufficient to balance the losses incurred on earlier meat contracts. Though tho market is glutted, prices continue to bo absurdly high. The trade intends to again urge Mr. Lloyd George to sanction the "abolition of control.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.
