YACHTING
The .Port Nicholson Yacht Club held points races for first, second and third' class yachts on Saturday. The results are as follow: Fii'st class: Eona pmin. l ), 1; Waitangi (tcr.), 2; Marangi (3min.), 3. Also started: Afalantii (Smin.), Wairere II (lllmin.), and Viola (15min.). Second class: d'alatea (iscr.), l;'Wind-' ward (22inin.), 2; lolanthc (tain.), 3. Lizzie (lOmin.i) did not finish. Third class: Warehau (scr.), 1; Muriiai (12min.), 2. During the week-end the club held a picnic at Kau Bay, when the following events were decided: Men's rowing race: E. Wilson, I; B. Quinnell, 2. Boys' running race: Master Calnan, 1. Sculling race: D. Crawford, 1; H. Edluml, 2. Ladies' running race: Miss Palmer, 1; Miss West, 2.
