IMMIGRATION POLICY
-4 APPLICATIONS TO NEW ZEALAND OFFICE. (Rec. February 15, 5.5 -p.m.) London, February 13. Sir Thomas Mackenzie, High Commissioner for New Zealand, states that the staff in bis office has been overwhelmed by applications since Mr. Massoy's immigration scheme was announced. Five hundred would-be immigrants are arriving daily, and the whole_ time of the staff is consumed in explaining that at_ least a year will elapso before a single immigrant can "be carried, except several thousand domestics and nominated passengers who were registered during the war. Thero are also a number of persons domiciled in New Zealand who are urgently claiming return to the Dominion.—United Service.
