MARLBOROUGH FARMERS' VIEWS, ivy reH-uriii'li-T'rcßE Af,so:'in'M.)n. Blenheim, February 10. A well-attended representative meeting of Marlborough sheepfarmers was today addressed by 31 r. W. J. Poison, of Wnnganui, on tho state of the frozen meat industry. Mr. Poison spoke on tho lines of addresses he had delivered in the North Island. It was unanimously resolved: "That this representative meeting of Marlborough producers urges upon the Government the necessity of taking steps to get the Imperial authorities to place our meat on the English niaikot at the cheapest rate possible, to cnaMo the 6tores to be cleared in order to make room for next season's production; that this mny.be done the meeting impresses upon tho. Government the necessity of dispatching at once tho proposed commission to England." A rsohition was passed expressing regret at Mr. Poison's decision not to be a member of the commission, and urging that efforts be made to induce the Minister to reconsider his decision. Mr. Poleon said that he would like to see what attitude the Prime Minister took up towards tho commission. If 3fr. Massry changed his views, he (Mr. Poison) might reconsider tho matter.
