FOOD CONTROL OFFICIALS CHARGED.

London. February 7. A curious prosecution is reported. Six Nowcastle food officials were charged with wasting 1325 carcasses,of Australian meat which was received in July, 10 0, and unreasonably retained until September, when it was unfit for food. The accused included the local Live Stock Commissioner, the Area Meat Agent, and members of the Meat Distribution Committee under the Food Controller. Tho Magistrates dismissed the charge.
