At a meeting of tho Dargnville Chamhor of Commerce held Inst night, a strong protest was mnclo against the unsntisfnctory week-end steamer service, and Ibo'followin!: motion was unanimously agreed to: "That this chamber protests to Mr. Nicoll, manager of the Knipara. S.S. Company, against tho injury to the district caused by such on unsuitohlo stcnmer es the Turirangi running on Saturday and Sunday, and urges, unless provision can l>o made to run a larger stcamor, that consideration bo given to 'tho proposal to dispatch a larger steamer on Friday night, returning to Helcnsvillo on Sunday."
