The English Lawn Tennis Association lias informed the United States rational' Lawn Tennis Association that tie pro* posed American changes in tho rules of tennis should.be delayed until the American body has decided whether it will join tho'lutcrnational Federation, which will 1m entrusted with the determination of international rules. Tho English Association further stales th.\t iu the event of tho United Stales changing.tho.rules, America would be seriously handicapped when plaving off tho Davis fnp lie.
