It was apparently duo to spontaneous combustion. Tho oargo consisted entirely of copra, of which all but livo hundred tons was discharged before the outbreak. About L'2o lons was totally destroyed. Tim prompt extinction of the, fire was duo to a lucky chance that two floating firo engines which had been working on Urn I'rinz tluberfus. were slill in dock, and so were able to start a. few minutes after the outbreak was reported.—Aus.-N-Z.
