Are you content that they should merely be ABOUT? or DO YOU WANT THE WORK DONE? ■ ■■ ■ ' / Only a Strong, United, and Unfettered Party can put through these great tasks with Speed and Safety! WARDISM has proved itself WEAK and on the DOWN-GRADE. Mr. Seddon ' left Sir Joseph Ward the legacy of a Party of sixty members in a House of seventy-six. In five years Sir Joseph Ward's leadership frittered away his huge majority and to-day he faces the electors as the leader of a Party of thirty-one. .-Wthe same period that the Wardists dropped from SIXTY to THIRTYONE the Reform Party grew from FIFTEEN to FORTY-ONE. Wardism cannot hope to secure a straight-out majority at the polls. At the best - it will be a divided Party at the mercy of Extremists. There could be no Sound Progress or Security under such conditions. Parliament would be given over to Party Wrangling; EXPEDIENCY and COMPROMISE, would HOBBLE and HAMPER PROGRESS. New Zealand's only chance of Sound and Strong Government to-day, as matters stand in our politics, is to add to the majority now held by Reform.
