PUBLIC SCHOOLS TOUENEY.Tho seventeenth annual tourney held under tho auspices of tho Wellington Public Schools' Tennis Association commenced at Brougham Hill courts on Saturday morning. Tho entries, which were. tho second largest on record, totalled 180 ; comprising JCO primary and 80 secondary, l'rom the following schools:—Hutt D.H.S. (SI), Smith Wellington (SG), Mr. Cook (51), lsland Bay (47), Lyall Bay (43),. Clyde Quay ('10), Technical High School (37), Terrace (28), Karori (23), Brooklyn (10), Worser Bay (1G), Eastern Hiilt (12), Newtown (12), Kilbirnio (10), Petono ■West (4), and Mitchelltown (-1). Miss Eraser and a band of willing workers from tho Terrace School, provided morning tea for tho numerous visitors and players, The secondary tourney will be played at Lower Hutt on Wednesday, December' 3.
