TARAWERA RECOMMISSIONED. The cargo steamer Tarawera, which lias been at Auckland since August 7, has been recoramissioned. During her lengthy stay in port she has been thoroughly overhauled and repaired. The accommodation for officers aud men has been renovated and made up-to-date. Additions have been made in the crews quarters at required by tho Seamen s Jfiron. In the starboard alleyway amidships two messrooms have been fitted, one for the seamen and one for tho firemen. The tables have been taken out of the forecastle, which'has made the quartorß more roomy. In addition,' a dressing-room lias been added. It is situated outside the forecastle, and iB fitted with lockers. The bathrooms for tho men have also undtSiqone special attention. The farawera left Auckland for Opua on Thursday t load a cargo of timber for Sydney iter discharging at ' Sydney, it ib understood that she ib to take up the Sydney-Mel-bourne-Dunedin cargo service permanently; a trade for which the Dunedin merchants have been agitating for a long time. REMUERA TO COMPLETE.' The New Zealand Shipping Co. advise] ■that the Remuera is to leave Lyttelton this afternoon for Wellington to complete loading. She is to sail for London, via Panama, on Wednesday. WESTMORELAND FOR HOME. The Westmoreland is to tail at daybreak to-day for Liverpool, via Panama. THE' PALOONA. The Paloona is now to leave Auckland on Monday for Wellington, and will sail from this port on Thursday for Melbourne, taking passengers and cargo'. NUDDEA SAILS. Tho Kowhai left Greymouth at' 1.30 p.m. yesterday coal and timber-laden for Wellington. After discharge* blic will go to Westport. Tho Corinna is expected to leave New Plymouth at noon to-day for Wellington with a cargo of cheese. Oil Tuesday she is to sail for Timaru, Oarnaru, and Dunedin. The Erccze is duo to-morrow from Lyttelton, and is to sail 011 Tuesday for Dunedin, Timaru, and Onmaru. The Ngahero and the Ngatoro will both be loading at Greymouth to-day, the former for Lyttelton and the latter fo. Wellington. The Oalm will get away for Dunedin, Timaru, and Lyttelton to-day. The Ngakuta was to have left Greymouth yesterday for Newcastle direct. The Neumark is,to sail at noon to-day for Newcastle.

Tho Rakanoa sailed for Newcastle from Auckland on Wednesday with a full load of New Zealand producc. She will load another cargo of coal at the Australian port for Auckland. The barque White Pine, which has been, unloading case oil at Auckland, lias commenced to load a cargo o£ white pino for Sydney, amounting to about 350,000 cubic feet. She will probably sail for Sydney in eight or nine days' time. The scow Zingiira, which was recently sold by Rosent'eld and Co., of Sydney, to Messrs. Winstone Ltd. of Auckland, has completed a thorough overhaul at Auckland. An additional mast is being fitted in the vessel. This will make her a threemasted schooner, Bquaro rigged on tli« foremast.

The Paeroa is due at Wellington to-day timber-laden from Hokitika. and Westport. She iB to sail 011 Tuesday for ilokitika.
