WAR PENSIONS
SOLDIERS ON HOME SERVICE. After full consideration tho War Pensions Board has defined the cases covered l>y the Wiir Pensions Act in respect to death or disablement, occurring to soldiers while wilder v training, or employed in a military cnimcity in New Zealand, us follows, and this decision has been confirmed by the Hon. Minister of Defence:—
(1) Death or disablement in New Zenland of soldiers attached to tho training camps for tho Expeditionary Forces (now closed). (2) Death or disablement arising from tho actual performance of military duty in cafes of persons employed (a) in permanent Defence forces, (b) on the Now Zealand Staff Corps, (c) on garrison duty at the forts; (d) as gunrds of wireless stations; (e) as guards for prisoners of war; (f) on picquets or patrol post-}; (g) in the military hospitals.
Officers responsible will reply to inquiries nnd correspondence on this subject in accordance with these rulings, which must bo taken as. final.
