ALLAN WILKIE SEASON
"The Silver King" is the lirsl: of a series of dramatic revivals, which commence at tho Grand Opera House on Monday night. No melodrama ol I lie modern stage has so consistently maintained its reputation as a real "thriller." "The Silver King" has long since been recognised as the masterpiece of iis class, and the list of plavers who have appeared in the heroic roto of Wilfred Denver includes several of the leading actors of the English-speaking stage. That the revival of the old favourite in Wellington will be welcomed by a large circle or' plavgoers is certain. "The Silver King" will be staged for live nights only. Mr. Allan Wilkio will appear in the role of Wilfred Denver, and Miss l'reilisv.iy.le Hunter-Watts as Nellie Denver. On Haturdav, November IS, another big attraction will lw offered in the presentation of Stnnlcy Houghton's "Hindle Wakes." a. Lancashire piny. The box plans arc at the Bristol. "THE MIKADO." The popularity of the Wellington Amateur Operatic Society's presentation of "Tho Mikado" was again exemplified last night, when another large audience was present at the Grand-,, Opera House- T'he season has been a most successful one, mid there is no doubt that there will be a big id tendance this evening, when the final performance will be given.
