A Bolshevik communique states:— Yudeuitch is retiring' hastily on tho eu. tiro front. Wo have occupied Gatcbina, and tho pursuit continues. We havo caplured Lujja. Yudcuilch's army is dissolving, and we closely surround tlic remnants. We havo driven tho enemy back a hundred versls (about (>7 miles) beyond Yoronesh.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.

Despite tho Bolshevik claimsYudctiitch's retreat was well prepared and skilfully executed. ITo now stands on wellfortified positions on the Narva railway. It is uncertain whether ho contemplates a further retirement. He may do so to prepare a further ofl'snsive, hoping for tho co-operation of Finland.—Aus.-N./5. Cable Assn.
