Tho inquiry by the Australian military authorities with reference to the transport IVaimana has begun before General Wisdon (president) and Lieutenant-Col-onels Murphy and Whitham members.' The Court to-day visited Tilbury, examined I lie Wnimann, ami inspeeled the uncovered wharf, where the women and children suffered great discomfort owing to rain and exposure, and also examined the tender which wa? employed to convey the passengers from the wharf to t.hn Waimnna, and to two other vessels lvinsr in miflstream.
