CRUSHED TO DEATH BY BALE OF WOOL. By .Telegraph-Press Association. Timaru, October 4. William Boyd, sixty-seven years of ; aso, who was crushed by the fall of a bale of wool on Wednesday, died last night. SHOOTING FATALITY. An attendant at the Porirua Mental Hospital, Harry Noble, was found dead on Saturday morning. He wentont shooting on Friday, and did not return. A search party from the institution went out on Saturday morning, and found the missing man's body, with a shot-gun wound in the head. The.gun was lying beside him. The deceased was 58 years of age, and married.
