SERIOUS CHARGE AGAINST A CHEMIST
By Teleeraph—Press Association. Du nid in, October 3. James Reynold-, U'ayue, chemist. Dunedin, appeared at the Police Court to-day charged that, with intent to procure miscarriage, he unlawfully used an instrument. For the prosecution it was stated that a young woman, who is now at Waimate. was in a dangerous slate. Accused was remanded to appear at Waimate on Monday. Elizabeth Simpson Inglis, an employee of J. R. ITnyne, was arrested later in the day on a similar charge, and brought before the Court. Inglis was remanded to Waimate.
Mr. W. G. 'Riddell, S.M., delivered resarved judgment in the " Magistrate's Court on Saturday morning in the case of the Excelsior Laundry Co. against Mrs. L. M'Cormaek, n claim for .£l7 lis. for work done. Judgment was given .for ulnintift for the amount admitted to be due. ,C(i Is. 3d., and which w«s paid into court, and judgment was given for defendant for the balnnco of tho account, with .£1 Is. costs.
