Giving evidence in the Arbitration Court in connection with tho Waterside Workers' Federation case for higher wages, the president of the Sydney branch slated that the claims included li-clde rates on Sundays and certain holidays, with a minimum of four hours' engage,uont. This might mean llmt the men would have to be paid 30s, each for shilling passengers' luggage, or 58s. each for shifting explosives, though they actually worked only half au hour.—Press Assn. ..
