MIRAMAR AFFAIRS
The Ifiramar 'Borough Council met last evening, the Slnyor (Mr. ,S. JI7 Stone) presiding. Also present . were Councillors (Mrs.)' Annie ■ M'Viear, IT. K. Robertshaw, E.-Collie. B. F.'Gardiner, B. J. Barnett, and J. Iliclts. . A petition from' the residents and users of Bowen Terrace, Sealoun, drawv ins attention' lo the bad state of the terrace and the roads in the vicinity and to the fact that they are penalised to (lie difficulty tradesmen have in serving (he residents, was held over till the next meeting of the council. A communication was received from the Seatouii and Days Progressive Association, suggesting: a general welcome to returned soldiers of Kentdun and Bays. The Mayor expressed the opinion that suck a welcome should be given, and he and Councillor Gardiner were appointed to go into the. matter and confer with Ilio Progressive Association.
