THE LIBERAL PARTY
NO FUSION WITH EEFOKXi. A meeting of tlio Liberal Party was held in Wellington yesterday, at ivhich there was a good attendance of members of the party. The following was the official report of the meeting given by : tiie Hon. W. D. S. .UacTJonaid:— "With the approval of the Loader, a meeting of the Liberal Party was I eld to-day, the Acting-Lender, t'ue Hon. W. I). S. MacDonnld -presiding. It was unanimously resolved.—That while loyally abiding "by the existing compact between the two parties, the Liberal Party will contest the next general election separate and nnart from the Beforni Party, with n definite progressive and radical policy.'"
