She is so. anxious, to do all that she possibly can for her chiJdren-thci-r needs are so pressing and so constant—that she really knows no,' rest throughout the wholo of her waking hours.' On every hand one hears that the children arc the nation's.greatest asset;, there is occasionally some small thing' done to relievo the financial strain upon the father of tho "asset," but who ever ■ spares a. thought for tho busy, tired, harassed mother? There inusti.be hun- ! dreds ofwonion and girls who could spare, one afternoon a week'simply to give , a mother of little ones a short' respite in which she could indulge in rest or • recreation-.with, the certainty that hor : children were being well cured for. .This is a- very modest beginning, hut from •. small beginnings great things may come.
