THE WEATHER FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for moderate to strong westerly winds, squally at times, southwards of New Plymouth and Castlepoint. Expect warm and hazy weather in the Kast Coast districts, but cloudy and unsettled conditions generally elsewhere, with rain probable, especially along the western coast. Barometer unsteady. The barometer has been unsteady, but hae fallen in the south since yesterday, and variable breezes have given place to freshening westerlies ' in and southward of Cook Strait.
