Whilst walking in heV garden, Mrs. K. Carr, wEo resides at No. 50 Hamilton Road, slipped and fell, sustaining a fracture of the left .leg, which necessitated her removal to the Wellington Hospital, where she was admitted.at 4.30 p.m. yesterday. The Hospital authorities reported last evening, that she wag doing as well as conld be expected.. ". ' ■ MINE TEXJCKER. KILLED. Invercargill, February 4. John leitt, 57 years, a farmer,, of West Plains, died suddenly while working on his farm at Wojkiwi. ■ Hβ complained of feeling ill while working, and walked towards the farmhouse for a drink,- but ■He fell dead on the way. '•
