SWIMMING
The members of tho Worser Bay Swimming and Life Saving Club opened their season on Saturday afternoon. Mr. B. A. Wright, M.L\, patron of the club, in.declaring the season open, congratulated the club on having undertaken tho erection of a now cliib house, which was to replace tho building taken over by tho Postal and Telegraph Department somo time ago. Afternoon tea wns dispensed to visitors, and tho swimming races resulted as follow:— Urodie Cup, 60yds.—F, Gamblo, 1; P. Cooper, 2; W. Hall, 3. Junior Girls, 25yds.—0. Warring, 1; 'F. Lynam, 2; U. Castle, 3. Senior Girls, Collie -Truphy; 50yds.— J[. Manthall, 1; N. Robertshnw,'2; D. Kii-chor, 3. Hoys, 25yds.—M. Castle, 1; H. Warring, 2. Girls, 30yds.—0. Warring, 1; N. Hobertshnw, 2. In the inter-club nice, which was won by members of the Island Hay Cliili, tho result was as follow:—C. liullivant, 1; A. Small, 2; N. S. Francis, 3. A life-saving display by members of the Island Buy Club brought ii very successful gathering to a close.
