♦ — By Telegraph—Press Association Now Plymouth, January 11. The occupants of Bridge's Station at Pi hoi, one and a half miles north of the Awakino River, were startled last night about ten o'clock by a severe explosion, which shattered tho windows. This morning the fragments of a inijio casing were found between the house and the beach. The mine apparently struck a reef in front of the house, which is, 150 v»rds above high water.-
