ACUTE INDUSTRIAL CRISIS
NQW-OR-NEVEB MOVE BY MINERS M AND BAILWAYMEN. ' London, January 7. The "Daily Telegraph" states that the industrial controversy is reopening acutely. On Thursday the railwayman -will discuss means to achieve a national programme. They are demanding a. permanent pension of 355. and a war. advance plus 10 per cent, oxtra, and drastic overtime and holiday concessions. The miners' programme- is even more ambitious, and includes a six-hour daj and a 50 per cent, advance on the existing war pay.
