At.au inquest.on .Private Roberts, aged nineteen, a member of the Cheshire Regiment, who died at Fulham Hospital, after repatriation from Germany, the doctor's evidence state:! that tho deceased died of tuberculosis, duo to starvation .ami privation. Koberte only weighed GGlb. Ho informed the doctors that ho had been employed carrying rails behind .the German lines. He sjiw parlies exhausted fall under the weight of the rails, which pinned them down. They were allowed to lie helpless until they died.
