CAPITAL AND LABOUR
gi r _j[ r . Vavasour's letter this morning may serve the purpose of drawing attention again to this matter, which is undoubtedly, the most serious question we have now to deal with, hilt otherwise it is only heaping coals on the fire, and does nothing whatever by way of assisting towards a solution. Like the president of the Employers Association, Mr. Vavasour does not seem to realise the real aim of Labour, which is .seeking for its proper place in the Commonwealth of Man and for a, more equitable distribution of wealth. ' The conciliation boards and Arbitration Court will not settle it. but when it is settled the mental attitude hetween employer and employed will soon change. Until then von might as well try to change the current of the Gulf Stream as stem the tide of Bolshevism. We won the war because we had iustice on our side, and Labour is winning on every front for the same reason.—l am, etc/ G.FINN.' Ngaio, January fi, 1919.
