MEN IMPATIENT FOE DEMOBILISA;TION." (Rec. January 7, 0.5 a.m.) London, January 6. Tho newspapers are gratified that the restraint of the authorities and the good sense shown by tho men has prevented' a serious situation regarding demobilisation. The position is not developing, but there aro discontented outcries. It is insisted that "the Dominions aro short of men," and also that "there is heaps of work for us at home." The men add: "Wo aro only wasting our time in France," and emphasise the fact that trouble would not havfe arisen if. the war had been still, on. The leave boats are now running as usual.—Aus.-N.Z.i Cable Assn.
