WELLINGTON CENTRE'S TOURNAMENT
GOOD BOWLING WEATHER
After a threatening morning, the weather cleared up beautifully in the forenoon, and bright sunshine and a light .southerly breeze made, the conditions almost ideal for the Wellington Ceinro* bowling tournament;'which opened \estiirday. Eoi'ty-eight rinks (1!U playur.-) were engaged on six greens, and the leporls from all quarters were I oat tin, day's sport had proved highly enjoyable, thanks to the excellent greens which had been prepared by the (dubs concerned. As only two games (of 2a heads eacn) were played, the going was not strenuous bv any means, and play was keen right up till the last head. Section pla. will be continued up till to-morrow atteinooii, and on Monday a. start will no made with tho seini-tinals. the seeretanal work is being performed bv Mr J. J.
