CATHOLIC PICNIC
Fine weather favoured the combined Catholic annual picnic, which was hold at Seatoun Park . yesterday. Quite a large number of people attended, and with, the sports ami musical items a most enjoyable day was spent. The following are the results of the events decided:—Highland fling (tinder 12);'Reni Taylor, 1: W. Brown, 2. Highland fling (under 16), Alice .Campbell, 1; Annie Currie, 2. Highland reel (open), Alice Campbell, 1; Jean M'ljaughlin, 2. Sword dance, W. Brown, lj'Reni Taylor, 2. Irish jig (under 16), Maggie O'Connor, 1; Willie Brown. 2. Sailors' hornpipe (under 12), Willie Brown, lj Phyllis M'Millan, 2. Messrs. Campbell Bros, and Brown supplied the pipe music, and Messrs. Charles Mac Donald and Russell judged the dancing Several other athletic "events were keenly contested. • ;■
