A CHANCE FOR RETURNED OFFICERS
' Sir,—l noticed in tho papers some little timo ago that the Government contemplated sending officers to England for the purpose of demobilising the returniui» troops. Might I suggest that tho Government send on this trip returned officers, particularly Gallipoii men, who through wounds or sickness did not get an opportunity to see the Old Country, and who would doubtless benefit greatly by tho trip, and who have earned the right to go back. 1 am inclined to think that the Government, as a reward for their valuable services, will bo sending those officers who have held "cushy" jobs in New Zealand since the commencement of tho war. I trust this is in time to prevent any such happening.—l am, etc., RETURNED SOLDIER.
